Update to Pussified and Whipped

He added that research data done by the House Immigration Reform Caucus shows that "the southern border can be virtually closed except at legal points of entry within a one-month period — at the longest. ... It will initially take 36,000 troops.

From this new article:

Saying the United States is not militarizing its southern border, President Bush announced Monday night that he is sending up to 6,000 National Guard troops to shore up U.S. Border Patrol efforts to stop the flow of illegal immigrants pouring in from Mexico.

I guess we all know where those folks in Washington, DC, and more specifically the President, stand on this issue.
